How can I make time to study my CIPD qualification whilst working full time?

“Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.”

Martin Luther King

Following my announcement last week, the first video is here! So far I have received a number of questions relating to CIPD qualifications and how you can achieve your goals.

One of the questions I get the most is how can you achieve a CIPD qualification when you have the busyness everyday life? Hopefully this video will help some of you with this very question.

As with everything in life, nothing worth working hard for comes easily, and it’s important to remember that studying is no exception. You may have experience in HR or you may aspire to work in HR, but one thing is for sure, one thing employers are continually looking for is that badge of recognition that is the CIPD qualification.

Speaking from experience, it was 12 years into my HR career that I finally decided to take on the Level 7 Diploma through distance learning with ICS Learn. The reason I chose this route is because firstly it is within my financial reach with their interest free payment plans and secondly, I can fit it into my own time and study at my own pace so when it is busy at work, I can fit my studies into my schedule.

It’s becoming increasingly important to demonstrate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and commitment to the profession, it not only broadens our network, but it also provides an opportunity to learn from other people with different backgrounds and experience levels.

Whatever your reason for seeking a CIPD qualification, remember that it is a worthwhile journey, when you achieve that first module, that exam result, that certificate, if you want something enough, you can achieve it, you just need to believe in yourself.
