We are now only a few days away before the public vote for the UK Blog Awards closes!
I’m really lucky to have got through to the second round and I would be delighted to make it through to the next stage. If you are enjoying my HR musings, then please do take a moment to vote (no personal details are required, you simply click on vote!)
Happy Sunday all!
We are only 9 days away from Christmas Day, I hope all of your festive preparations are going well and that you’re enjoying the build up to the big day.
When we are feeling frazzled in the build up to Christmas, sometimes it is good to just take some time to yourself, so today’s it is simply about being kinder to oursleves and making a little bit of me time.
“How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.”
Happy Saturday, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!
Firstly, thank you to everyone for all of your lovely messages, I am so pleased that you are enjoying this years HR acts of kindness advent calendar, I love hearing your stories of the joy you are spreading; please keep them coming!
Today’s challenge is quite a tough one…
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
Following the popularity of door 12, I had to answer so many emails and messages that I completely forgot to issue door 13, so I do apologise and to make up for it, today is going to be a double door!
What if there was something we could each do to make the days of those around us a little brighter?
“You can have the best strategy and the best building in the world, but if you don’t have the hearts and minds of the people who work with you, none of it comes to life.”
Many people leave their jobs because they may feel undervalued and unappreciated in their current jobs, and how can we, all do our bit to help to boost morale, recognition and overall atmosphere in our workplaces? There are so many ways in which we can show appreciation and gratitude towards our colleagues and peers, and today’s task is all about showing them that you appreciate them.
