“All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey…”

“Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits”

Samuel Butler

Autumn is by far my favourite time of the whole year, cozy jumpers, hot coffee, leaves falling in the crisp air, and nothing beats a hot stew from the slow cooker after an walk outdoors with my dog Bron!

A lot of people experience the blues after a glorious summer, but to me, the Autumn season brings a whole new kind of energy, filled with optimism and opportunity.

After completing my final CIPD exam at the end of September, it is time for me to complete the final pieces of outstanding coursework for my Level 7 and bring the focus back to the blog, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Whilst this year has certainly been challenging in many ways, it is time to move forward with a fresh perspective and from a professional stance, this begins with the blog. Over the next few months, there will be an increase of posts with a mixture of shorter and longer reads with at least one being published each week.

October is a very exciting month for a number of reasons, my social media channels are having an overhaul so it will look a lot more populated which I hope you’ll like! One really exciting thing I am looking forward to is my first proper feature in a UK wide publication with HR acts of kindness (I cannot believe it either!) and there is also going to be a lot more work with the fabulous team from ICS Learn, we begin the build up to this years CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition, and that is just the start. October is shaping up to be one busy month!

What are you goals and objectives for October? Have you kept on track this year or has it all gone a bit pear shaped like mine? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments box below and remember, let’s not dwell on things we haven’t achieved yet, hit refresh and start as you mean to go on!
