A bit of fun to start our working week! It is safe to say that we can all pretty much agree that Monday is not the most exciting day of a week, and it is always hard to get back into the swing of things at work after a nice relaxing weekend.
Today is labelled “Blue Monday” which is officially declared as the most depressing day of the year (unless you really didn’t grab that essential Black Friday purchase of course!)
It’s Christmas Eve! This is one of my favourite days of the year, with all of the cosy traditions, excitement and anticipation that the festivities bring. I especially love how everything just seems to stop, the bustling shops begin to calm and families, friends and loved ones gather together to celebrate.
“Do something today that your future self will thank you for”
A week today will be Christmas Day! I hope you are all prepared and ready for the festivities (I’m very disorganised this year so I still have last minute bits to shop for!)
When we spread messages of joy and positivity, we feel good but we also remind others of what joy feels like and it may just inspire others to do the same. It is these small acts of kindness that make a big difference.
We are only 9 days away from Christmas Day, I hope all of your festive preparations are going well and that you’re enjoying the build up to the big day.
When we are feeling frazzled in the build up to Christmas, sometimes it is good to just take some time to yourself, so today’s it is simply about being kinder to oursleves and making a little bit of me time.
“How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.”
Happy Saturday, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!
Firstly, thank you to everyone for all of your lovely messages, I am so pleased that you are enjoying this years HR acts of kindness advent calendar, I love hearing your stories of the joy you are spreading; please keep them coming!
Can you believe that we are actually halfway through HR acts of kindness? It seems that December is passing us by and it is often the case that at this time of year, whilst our intentions are good, kindness can often be overlooked through the chaos.
In short, today is not a challenge or task based one, it is about creating a culture of kindness and how it can make all the difference to the environments that we are exposed to.
