Christmas Eve greetings!

It’s Christmas Eve! This is one of my favourite days of the year, with all of the cosy traditions, excitement and anticipation that the festivities bring. I especially love how everything just seems to stop, the bustling shops begin to calm and families, friends and loved ones gather together to celebrate.

On Saturday, I took my mum, brother and friend to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park in London, during this visit we went to the Snowman Experience. When I was a child, my mum introduced us to The Snowman and I’ve watched it almost every Christmas ever since, so we were not missing out on this experience!

As we went in, my mum’s face lit up and that image will stay with me forever, she had the biggest smile and was filled with nostalgia; this is now what Christmas means to me. I all of a sudden felt incredibly guilty and realised that I should make more of an effort to see my family more; create more memories and have less things.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life that we often take for granted those around us, so whilst Christmas may only be a short season, we should all make the effort to see our families and loved ones more often.

In light of this, I will be taking a brief break from my all of my social media activities until New Years Eve to focus on my family and having a cosy Christmas with my husband and Bron (my dog!). Thank you all for your oodles of support this year, it really means a lot and I hope that you’ve enjoyed my musings.

So from my beautiful family to all of yours, have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you all back on my blog on New Years Eve!
