Wow, just wow. This is the only word I have to describe the whirlwind of the last couple of weeks in respect of my career, and it’s only nearly the end of March!
What an absolute pleasure and honour it was to speak at the brilliant Midlands CIPD Student Conference at Aston University in Birmingham. Everyone I met and spoke to on the day was so motivated, but the one thing that was so noticeable was the air of passion for the profession all in one space which created an electric atmosphere. It was a truly inspiring day, and I would like to wish all of the students the best of luck with their careers; additionally, congratulations to the event organisers, London’s student conference is this weekend so if you are going along, have a brilliant time!
After the highs of the Student Conference, I am now preparing to speak at Disrupt HR in Nottingham on 11th April, it’s so nerve wracking to speak in front of so many amazing people, but the more I do it, the more familiar I become with my presentation style, as with everyone, the more I practice, the more I’ll continue to develop and grow as a professional.
My aims and ambitions remain the same, I want to inspire others within their careers and within our profession. I’ve been holding Skype meetings with some of you who have got in touch and I hope to do more of these in the future, so if you’d like to have a virtual meeting with me, let me know, grab a cuppa, and let’s have a chin wag!
The other small piece of news… it’s not long until the Natural HR conference at Monkey World in Dorset! There is a glittering line up of speakers, and plenty of monkeying around guaranteed! This conference is truly unique and in a very special setting, we’d be absolutely delighted if you would join us! If you are yet to book your place, then please do so here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/natural-hr-conference-not-only-for-hr-people–tickets-52197000634 we look forward to seeing you there!
